For the ultimate in peformance, we now provide Custom Fabrication and Engineering services. From solid carbon fin creation and beveling, special high temp or special material nose cones, multiple stage Shock Values or Ravens, to complete vehicle design and construction, we can make your -extreme- high power dreams come true!  Ask Mike Hoobs and Randy Helmonds, who contracted with us to design and build their successful 'Interstellar Overdrive' 100,000' flight vehicle! Ask Dan Stroud about our work on the Aurora, as seen in the Discovery Channel's 'Rocket Challenge' - We built the fins and thrust bulkheads for the Aurora from our .280 autoclaved carbon sheet.

Our proven design and construction techniques have been used on some of the most aggressive flights ever seen in high power rocketry. If you want your fins to stay on at Mach 4+, or you want an extremely low mass fraction, we are the -only- source for the materials and know-how to make it work.

These services are expensive. As a professional design studio, our rates are far beyond the reach of the average hobbyist. We state this up front so as to weed out the serious customers from the merely curious ones. If you want a quote from us on a serious project, we would be happy to provide one. Depending on the scope of the project, there may be a charge for this quotation. Please do not contact us for 'ballpark' quotes, if you are not sure what you want, or if you 'just want to find out what a model rocket part made in carbon fiber would cost' - our time as well as yours is valuable. It is also customary and proper to submit a response to our quotation once you receive it, so we can plan our schedule.

Here are some examples of our custom work:

The two stage 54mm. minimum diameter Shock X2. Flown on a fast L3000 to a slow L3000, this was a 50,000' flight at better than mach 3.5, and showed successful drag separation and head end sustainer ignition techniques new to the industry.

The top cone is the beautiful carbon/natural kevlar 4" from the Trinity rocket. The lower cone is a very special custom 3" cone in carbon/red kevlar, created from a custom Von Karman master pattern and mold set made especially for this client. The cones were both finished in multiple coats of urethane clear, and feature .280" autoclaved carbon internal bulkhead and passivated stainless recovery attach hardware.
