ShadowAero customers are -the- most loyal in the amateur rocketry arena, just read some of these glowing reports:

WOW!!!!

To say the Raven performed even better than we expected is an understatement. We are still in amazement.  While we began the weekend disappointed we didn't have a bigger motor than a Aerotech I-435t, it turned out to be a good thing. We quickly came to realize we'll need a Walston radio retrieval system for the big motors.  The Raven has set a new standard for us, and for the entire Dallas Area Rocket Society.  Everyone who was in attendance talked about it for the entire day -- and the next.  Our friend, Jim Turner, the Dallas Aerotech dealer who's been in this business for years, said he has never heard a sonic boom as distinct and crisp as that one.  As Jim said, "There was no mistaking it!"  "It hit you in the chest!"  Terry and I were like kids after the launch.  We remained giddy for an hour.  At each hour afterwards we'd look at each other and one of us would say "Was that fast or what!"  We're still doing it!I had them make an announcement afterwards telling the audience that ShadowAero had some Raven available for sale.  We'll see if it gets you any response.   Dave Shultz and another gentleman made it clear they were definitely interested.   Thanks for everything Dave!  The Raven has changed our thinking.  And while your videos were already a valuable asset, they're even more so now.  WHAT A ROCKET!!!

Last night I completed my first double wrap carbon fiber tube (2.5"), using heat tape and the curing oven.  I am REALLY pleased - and a bit surprised - at how well it came out!  Especially for my first carbon fiber attempt.  There is no way I could have done this without the videos and the advice you gave me a week or so ago.  If it had not been for the videos, I would still be fumbling around trying to figure out how to start wraping and vacuum-bagging airframes.

I received my shock value kit and what a SHOCK it is.  I spent about an hour playing with the rocksim file.  What a truly amazing rocket!!  I cannot wait to get together and fly it.  The most difficult problem I see with the shock value is not violating the waiver at the launches in my area. Thanks for putting together a spectacular kit

-Debra Koloms

I received the RAVEN EX on Friday and was very impressed with the high quality components and instructional manual.  I'm sure you've heard this statement before, "no other high powered rocket kits compare to ShadowAero." Although the dual deployment feature reduces flight drift...it's almost too valuable to fly at CA launches. Thanks again...

-Randy Helmonds

I really appreciate the fine service you provide and look forward to doing business with you in the future. As an aside, I have assimilated the techniques and products you describe in videos 1 and 2 into my building and, since applying your advice, my rockets have turned out MUCH better than previous! Now if it would just warm up enough out here in Colorado to fly them....

-Jim Lambert

I have been using some of your products for my projects and have  been very happy with the results. The word "bullet Proof" comes to mind. Thanks for your top notch materials.

-Bruce Carey

Thought you might like to know the Raven EX arrived yesterday. Nice job with the packaging of the kit! Quality is evident throughout. Well worth the wait!! I am looking forward to the Shock Value and any future ShadowAero offerings.

Dave, just wanted to let you know that you video tapes are great. I glassed my first tube a 7.5 inch tube it could not have been easier, and I did not get a drop of resin on the floor. Thanks for producing such an excellent series of tapes!

-Debra Koloms

I launched the Raven on August 25th with the Kosdon J975. It was the fastest flight I've ever seen. The crowd that had gathered to watch could not believe a rocket could go that fast. The flight was perfect. Thanks for all your help and great products.

-Gerald Robbins

Thanks so much. I wanted to tell you that I have used your high temp epoxy, kevlar pulp, kevlar tissue and your carbon fiber, plus the aeropoxy paste. The products you make are above superb. All these products went into my all Fiberglass and Aluminum Nike Ajax MIM-3. Its just over 10 ft tall and can convert from two stage to single stage. Look forward to using more of your products in the future. All the best....

-Jon Dubrick

I am very pleased with the service you are providing. ShadowAero is a very impressive organization and it has been a pleasure to do business with you. I will be ordering more products in the future as I plan to build some advanced high power rockets. Thanks,

-Len Bryan

I think that the ShadowAero stuff is definately worth the extra expense. I purchased the three video set from them prior to buying any materials. I then shopped around looking for the strongest materials I could find. I bought most of my "special purpose" stuff from Shadow. For example, the high temperature epoxy, carbon fibers for strengthening the epoxy mix, heat tape, curing oven plans, etc. I was very happy with how well my tube wraps came out. Building a curing oven was probably the "best" time spent on my project. The epoxy cures in the oven in only about 90 minutes and is super strong. Also the heat tape worked as advertised, ie. the tubes came out nice and smooth. I would strongly recommend, however, purchasing the first two video tapes as I would have never been able to make things come out nearly as good without studying those tapes. The other good thing about shadow composites is that Dave Triano is very responsive and helpful if you have a question about how to use their products. Good luck and let me know how things turn out.

Just a note to say that Dave over there at ShadowAero works hard for the customer. Just letting fellow modelers know who you can count on.

Just a little update. The PTFE worked great!!!! I got a wunderfull airframe within three hours . . . and was setting a new national (NAR) record in F streamer duration. Anyway, I think my design has still potential to be more effective . . . so I'd like to replace the glasfiber airframe with carbon fibre. Cheers,

-Michael Funke

I really appreciate your service-and I really enjoy and rely on your products.

-Steve Sanders

Thanks for your great work in the composites field. I have really enjoyed your first tape and am ordering the second one now. You guys have a class act. Thanks. Regards,

-Bruce L.Carey

I am really enjoying the tapes so far.  I watch #3 first and it reminded me of some of the stuff I saw on a tour of an aero-structure company in Stockton last summer.  Have watched most of tape #1 and am looking forward to tape #2.  I wish I had seen Tape #1 before my first attempt at fiber glassing.  I am now working on some of the special jigs you use so I start on another rocket. Best Wishes,

-Thomas Brumley

I was able to pick up your package at the post office today.  Your Raven kit is first class all the way!  Thank you. Regards,

-Eric Williams

I've talked with members of the local rocket club  who have used panty hose laminated with resin from a surf shop and another who setup a rotisserie and simply brushed on resin with no cloth. A colleague at work, Nick Muller, recently purchased some of your materials and suggested I check out your web site. I'm glad I did after reading your comments about these other laminating techniques. Nick has your video and I plan on borrowing it soon. Thanks for taking the time to determine what's the best direction for me. I appreciate your customer focus and it's not surprising your company is so highly recommended. Best regards,

-Bob Odegard

I hope everything went well with the BALLS launch.  I have been so busy that I haven't had time to write and let you know what I think about the products you distribute.  I have thoroughly enjoyed working with them. Adding filler to epoxy is wonderful and unbelievable simple to make the joints so much stronger.  SuperFil is a fantastic product that makes perfect fillets!  I even tested it on a nose cone that attached to a body tube that was too big and I could fill a very thin layer from the transition from a plastic nose cone to the fiberglass body tube (about 1/32"). The best product is the UV Smooth Prime.  I assumed that because it was water based that it would be thin and runny like water. It was extremely thick and coated very nicely.  It dried quickly and I applied 4 coats with plenty of time after I added the crosslinker.  The only thing I did different was I brushed it on vice rolled it.  I wasn't covering epoxy weave and the brush easily filled any small holes.  I have never seen a primer that didn't clog the sandpaper! I was amazed how easily it sanded. I'm sure you have heard all these praises before, but I can't imagine ever building another rocket with conventional products again.  I have plenty left to do my next few rockets but look forward to ordering from you in the future.  Thanks.
