autoclaved carbon/epoxy airframe, lower airframe sized to
accommodate a 30" long motor
*.12" thick high modulus autoclaved carbon laminate for
bulkheads and fins
*Fins bevelled, installed using our proprietary acrylic
adhesive, with high temp epoxy/kevlar pulp fillets, ready
to finish
*Thrust bulkhead installed with our proprietary acrylic
adhesive, with passivated stainless steel eye ring
installed for recovery harness attachment. Bulkhead is
pre-drilled with 1/2" hole for forward retention of
Kosdon style motor cases
*Filament wound carbon coupler (same materials and wind
as the airframe) installed in lower electronics bay,
e-bay is 8" long, with bulkhead and eye bolt installed at
head end of lower coupler
*Main chute bay (12") with carbon coupler, bulkhead, and
eye bolt installed in lower end.
*Hollow cast urethane cone, with carbon cross rail for
recovery attachment
*Rocketman R24D Main chute, with 8' x 1/4" kevlar
recovery strap (loops on each end wound with kevlar,
cross sewn with kevlar, potted in epoxy and covered with
clear shrink tubing for chafe protection), and nomex
blast shield installed.
*A Top Flight metallic streamer can be used below the
e-bay, an 8' x 1/4" kevlar recovery strap is provided for
this small compartment, as is another nomex blast shield
for the streamer.
*Acme rail guides (I don't recommend them, I would rather
see everyone fly this rocket from a tower, but they are
in there if folks need them).
